About the role

Oversee and manage the procurement process for designated categories within the company, ensuring the efficient and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services to support the company's retail real estate operations.

Job Responsibility

  1. Develop and implement procurement strategies for specific categories in alignment with the overall business objectives and procurement policies.
  2. Collaborate with the Procurement Director to define the annual procurement plan, including budget, KPIs, and category-specific goals.
  3. Conduct market analysis to identify potential suppliers, assess their capabilities, and negotiate favorable terms and conditions.
  4. Manage supplier relationships, including performance monitoring, contract management, and resolution of any issues or disputes.
  5. Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures, including adherence to ethical standards and regulatory requirements.
  6. Coordinate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of their requirements.
  7. Analyze spend data and market trends to identify opportunities for cost savings, value improvement, and risk mitigation.
  8. Develop and maintain category-specific procurement documentation, including contracts, purchase orders, and supplier agreements.
  9. Lead the procurement process from supplier selection to contract award, ensuring competitive bidding and transparent decision-making.
  10. Provide guidance and support to procurement staff and promote best practices within the procurement function.
  11. Perform added roles and tasks as per management needs

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in procurement, preferably within the retail or real estate industry.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, and contract negotiation.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective procurement strategies.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
  • Command of Arabic and English, both written and verbal.
  • Professional certification in procurement (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) is preferred.
