About the role
Oversee and manage the procurement process for designated categories within the company, ensuring the efficient and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services to support the company's retail real estate operations.
Job Responsibility
- Develop and implement procurement strategies for specific categories in alignment with the overall business objectives and procurement policies.
- Collaborate with the Procurement Director to define the annual procurement plan, including budget, KPIs, and category-specific goals.
- Conduct market analysis to identify potential suppliers, assess their capabilities, and negotiate favorable terms and conditions.
- Manage supplier relationships, including performance monitoring, contract management, and resolution of any issues or disputes.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures, including adherence to ethical standards and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of their requirements.
- Analyze spend data and market trends to identify opportunities for cost savings, value improvement, and risk mitigation.
- Develop and maintain category-specific procurement documentation, including contracts, purchase orders, and supplier agreements.
- Lead the procurement process from supplier selection to contract award, ensuring competitive bidding and transparent decision-making.
- Provide guidance and support to procurement staff and promote best practices within the procurement function.
- Perform added roles and tasks as per management needs
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience in procurement, preferably within the retail or real estate industry.
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, and contract negotiation.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective procurement strategies.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
- Command of Arabic and English, both written and verbal.
- Professional certification in procurement (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) is preferred.
