JOB OBJECTIVES
Process optimization and efficiency:
To oversee and optimize gasification and power production processes to ensure efficiency, reliability, and quality.
Team leadership:
To lead and mentor a team of process engineers and technicians to achieve operational goals.
Safety and regulatory compliance:
To ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and company policies.
Troubleshooting and problem-solving:
To monitor process data to identify trends, address inefficiencies, and resolve operational issues.
Project management and execution:
To plan and execute process improvement initiatives, including the implementation of new technologies and methodologies.
Inter-departmental collaboration:
To collaborate with other departments to align process operations with overall plant objectives.
Resource allocation and cost control:
To manage resources effectively, including personnel, budgets, and equipment, to achieve cost-efficient operations.
Data analysis and reporting:
To support strategic decision-making through data analysis, technical expertise, and reporting.
QUALIFICATIONS AND WORK EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field – Essential
Master’s degree in engineering or management is advantageous – Preferred
Certifications in Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or Project Management (e.g., PMP) are beneficial – Preferred
Job Related Work Experience
Work experience in process engineering or plant operations 10+ Yrs
Experience in a managerial or supervisory role – 5+Yrs
Job-Related Knowledge and Skills
Comprehensive understanding of gasification processes, power production, and related technologies – Advanced
Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA standards) – Proficient
Expertise in process optimization methodologies and tools (e.g., Six Sigma, lean manufacturing) – Expert
Proficiency in data analysis tools and process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS) – Proficient
Solid leadership and team management skills – Proficient
Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills for addressing complex operational challenges – Advanced
Proficiency in project management, including planning, budgeting, and execution
