We are seeking to appoint a highly skilled and forward-thinking practitioner who is passionate about teaching and learning and believes that young people deserve the very best experiences in the classroom. The Assistant Head (Teaching, Learning & Innovation) will drive excellence and transformative teaching and learning across the Senior School. They should be an adaptable and innovative leader, an excellent motivator, communicator and administrator, and should be capable of managing key aspects of an expanding and high-profile British-style international school.
Please note that our preference in this particular role is for a teacher of History or Business/ICT.
Brighton College Al Ain requires an inspirational leader with the vision, gravitas and ambassadorial skills to further develop the Senior School in an evolving and growing marketplace, with a proven track record of highly successful senior leadership experience, preferably in a British curriculum school.
They should have a confident understanding of the key issues facing pupils moving into the 21st Century workplace, with a particular sensitivity to the factors influencing decisions for pupils in the U.A.E. and beyond. They should be able to provide professional leadership and guidance of academic matters to enable the effective development of the Senior School of the College (Year 6 upwards), its staff and pupils.
Applications are welcome from both experienced senior leaders who wish to further extend their leadership skills or from ambitious middle leaders keen to move onto their first leadership role. Most importantly we are looking for individuals who will work hard, are kind, have a positive outlook, are self-reflective and can bring some good ideas to the table.
