We are seeking an experienced and passionate Japanese-Cuisine Private Home Chef to join our household. The ideal candidate will have a solid track record in preparing authentic and contemporary Japanese dishes while also managing menu planning, budgeting, and ingredient sourcing. This is a live-in position with a light workload, offering an excellent opportunity to showcase your culinary expertise in a private setting.
Key Responsibilities
Menu Creation: Develop and present weekly menus with a focus on Japanese cuisine, ensuring variety, seasonality, and nutritional balance.
Ingredient Procurement: Source and select high-quality ingredients while maintaining strict standards of freshness and cost control.
Budget Management & Reporting: Work within a given budget for ingredient purchases and maintain cost-effective strategies without compromising quality. Track weekly purchases and compile monthly expense reports for transparency and accountability.
Dietary Compliance: Adapt menus to specific dietary requirements or preferences and ensure all meals are nutritionally balanced.
Kitchen Maintenance: Uphold impeccable hygiene and organization standards in the kitchen, following all food safety regulations.
Additional Expertise: French pastry knowledge is preferred, adding a special touch to meal plans and desserts.
Qualifications & Requirements
Professional
Experience:
Minimum of 7 years of professional cooking experience, with a primary focus on Japanese cuisine.
Language Skills: Fluent in English or Arabic (perfect fluency required).
Culinary Knowledge: Strong background in food nutrition, menu planning, and dietary adaptations.
Budget & Reporting Skills: Proven ability to manage a budget effectively and produce clear expense reports.
Culinary Innovation: Ability to develop creative Japanese dishes using seasonal ingredients and modern techniques.
