Position Overview
The Principal Partner Account Manager is a senior, enterprise level role responsible for building and executing transformational strategies across Autodesk’s most critical volume partners. This role drives systemic alignment, global consistency, and scalable impact through expert level strategic planning, performance management, and partner enablement. The position plays a pivotal role in shaping the global partner ecosystem and accelerating partner-led innovation and growth at scale.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Alignment & Account Planning Design and lead enterprise-level strategic account planning frameworks. Drive systemic alignment between Autodesk and business-critical partners across regions and functions.
- Business Development & Market Expansion Shape partner-led growth strategies and transformational go-to-market initiatives. Influence market presence and long-term ecosystem impact through strategic partner engagement.
- Performance Management & Executive Business Reviews Establish performance management standards across partner tiers. Lead executive-level partner business reviews to ensure accountability and strategic outcomes.
- Pipeline & Forecast Management Set enterprise benchmarks for pipeline health and forecast accuracy. Leverage advanced insights to guide strategic and operational decision making.
- Partner Advocacy & Enablement Lead partner advocacy efforts ign enablement strategies that drive consistency and scalability across geographies and partner segments.
- Market Intelligence & Competitive Insight Apply deep market intelligence and competitive analysis to influence Autodesk’s global partner strategy. Drive differentiation and innovation through insights gathered across the partner ecosystem.
- Sales & Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner Sales:
Drive enterprise-level alignment between Autodesk account teams, territory sales, and strategic partners. Autodesk Sales:
Deliver executive insights on pipeline health, forecasts, and strategic initiatives to inform global execution. Cross-Functional Leadership:
Partner with Marketing, Customer Success, and Operations to deliver integrated solutions & Regional Alignment:
Establish standards for consistent messaging and strategic execution across regions, partner tiers, and business units.
Minimum Qualifications
- 12+ years of experience in partner management, sales, business development, or strategic account management within a complex B2B or technology environment
- Proven experience leading enterprise-level partner strategies and executive stakeholder engagements
- Demonstrated success managing global or multi-regional partner ecosystems
- Experience influencing cross-functional and senior leadership without direct authority
- Enterprise-level strategic relationship management and ecosystem leadership
- Expert business acumen and partner strategy development
- Advanced data-driven decision making and performance analysis
- Executive-level communication, influence, and stakeholder management
- Strategic use and influence of CRM platforms and Autodesk systems
- Strong empathy and collaboration across global teams and cultures
Preferred Qualifications
- 15+ years of experience in partner ecosystems, enterprise sales, or global go-to-market strategy
- Experience working within or alongside large technology, SaaS, or platform-based organizations
- Prior ownership of global partner programs, multi-tier partner models, or volume partner strategies
- MBA or advanced business degree
- Experience driving transformation, standardization, and scale across complex partner organizations
