Primary
Roles and Responsibilities
Participate in project execution strategy and planning.
Drive innovative solutions, technological advances, and methods to effectively manage out-of-sequence work.
Own the engineering plan, project scope, cost, and schedule; ensure discipline teams meet expectations; coordinate disciplines to ensure project success.
Support management of project changes and progress within the discipline; collaborate with the Project Management Team to address issues, staffing, scope changes, progression, or other factors affecting project completion and profitability.
Plan inter-discipline quality activities, monitor quality assurance, participate in squad checks, recommend improvements, and implement actions where needed.
Coordinate inter-discipline activities and resolve conflicts.
Embed the engineering change process into project workflows.
Identify the need for specialist input.
Coordinate, manage, and ensure closure of review action items, including design reviews, peer reviews, operability & maintenance reviews, and constructability reviews.
Ensure engineering teams report progress accurately across all areas.
Be experienced in project setup, establishing work processes, team monitoring, execution, and project closeout. Skilled in estimating project costs, writing proposals, budgeting, and cost control.
Quality Assurance
Work within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance systems.
Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure all projects comply with the Worley Project Management Process (WPMP).
Safety
Maintain personal safety practices and follow OH&S procedures.
Promote health, safety, and environmental awareness across teams.
Qualifications
Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:
Full-Time Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering discipline relevant to the industry from an accredited university.
MME (Ministry of Municipality and Environment) engineering accreditation is mandatory; candidates must be willing to achieve this within the probationary period.
Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status or similar qualification is advantageous.
HSE Capability
Maintain a focus on HSE to ensure OHSE requirements are met.
Demonstrate behaviors aligned with a culture of top-tier health, safety, and environmental performance.
