The Pre-Sales Engineer plays a critical role in supporting business growth by providing technical expertise throughout the sales cycle. Working closely with the sales team, technology vendors, system integrators, and end-users, the Pre-Sales Engineer will identify customer requirements, design technical solutions, conduct product demonstrations, and provide technical guidance that enables successful project qualification and solution adoption.

The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge of networking, IoT, AI Edge computing, industrial communication technologies, and digital transformation solutions, combined with excellent customer-facing and presentation skills. The role requires a hands-on engineer capable of configuring systems, troubleshooting technical issues, and translating customer requirements into practical and commercially viable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Solution Development

• Analyze customer requirements, business challenges, and technical specifications to develop suitable solutions.

• Design and propose end-to-end solutions utilizing the company’s product portfolio.

• Prepare technical architecture diagrams, solution designs, bills of materials (BOMs), and technical specifications.

• Ensure proposed solutions align with customer objectives, industry standards, and vendor best practices.

• Translate customer technical requirements into practical, scalable, and cost-effective solutions.

Pre-Sales Support

• Support the sales team during customer meetings, presentations, workshops, and technical discussions.

• Participate in requirement gathering sessions and technical discovery meetings.

• Provide timely technical support and responses to customer inquiries throughout the sales cycle.

• Assist in qualifying opportunities by assessing technical feasibility and solution fit.

• Act as a trusted technical advisor to customers, partners, consultants, and system integrators.

• Gather and analyze customer technical requirements and recommend appropriate products and solutions.

• Configure products, systems, and demonstration environments according to customer specifications.

• Assist customers with technical evaluations, testing, benchmarking, and Proof-of-Concept (PoC) activities.

Product Demonstrations & Proof of Concept (PoC)

• Deliver compelling product demonstrations showcasing the value and capabilities of the company’s solutions.

• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot demonstration equipment and test environments.

• Design, execute, and support Proof-of-Concept (PoC) projects and pilot deployments.

• Validate solution performance and functionality against customer requirements.

• Document PoC outcomes and provide recommendations to customers and internal stakeholders.

Technical Proposal & Tender Support

• Prepare technical proposals, compliance matrices, technical submissions, and solution documentation.

• Support tender submissions by preparing technical responses and reviewing specifications.

• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to ensure technical compliance with customer requirements.

• Assist in preparing project scope documents, technical comparisons, and solution recommendations.

Vendor & Technology Engagement

• Maintain strong technical relationships with technology vendors and manufacturers.

• Participate in vendor training, certification programs, and technical workshops.

• Stay current with emerging technologies, industry trends, and competitive solutions.

• Provide feedback to vendors regarding market requirements, customer challenges, and product improvements.

Customer & Partner Enablement

• Conduct technical training sessions for customers, partners, and internal sales teams.

• Develop technical presentations, reference architectures, application notes, and educational materials.

• Support channel partners and system integrators with solution design and product knowledge.

• Assist customers during solution evaluation and technology adoption phases.

Project Handover & Post-Sales Collaboration

• Support smooth project transitions from pre-sales to implementation teams.

• Provide technical clarification and consultation during project execution when required.

• Assist with troubleshooting and solution optimization during pilot and early deployment stages.

• Work closely with technical support and service teams to ensure customer success.

Continuous Learning & Professional Development

• Actively pursue technical certifications and vendor accreditations.

• Participate in industry events, conferences, webinars, and workshops.

• Maintain a high level of expertise in networking, IoT, AI Edge computing, wireless communications, industrial automation, and digital transformation technologies.

• Continuously expand technical knowledge to support evolving customer requirements and emerging technologies.
