As a Power Systems Engineer, you will report to the Front Office Power Systems team. You will be responsible for providing robust technical and design support across medium and high voltage (MV and HV) engineering disciplines, ensuring that all project requirements and client specifications are met. You are expected to demonstrate initiative and take ownership of key responsibilities, while also mentoring and sharing your expertise with graduate and junior power systems engineers.

- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics and Communications Engineering
; postgraduate studies or training in Power Systems Engineering is an advantage. - 3–5 years of relevant experience delivering power systems engineering services for buildings and infrastructure projects.
- Demonstrated experience supporting small to medium-scale projects from concept design through detailed design and implementation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to contribute to technically sound solutions under guidance of senior engineers.
- Good understanding of a range of power systems engineering technical areas.
- Appreciation of complementary disciplines such as fire engineering, acoustics, and computer modelling within building and infrastructure design.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Proficient in relevant engineering software including ETAP (or equivalent),
AutoCAD
, and Microsoft Office
. - Working knowledge of LV and MV power generation systems
, including diesel, gas, and alternative fuel prime movers. - Solid understanding of power systems and network design principles
. - Familiarity with resilient control engineering concepts related to power systems.
- Competent in IT-based calculation tools and spreadsheet software.
- Working knowledge of BS and IEC standards
, applicable regulations, and local or international codes. - Assist in providing power systems engineering design services for building and infrastructure projects.
- Support project delivery by contributing to planning, technical coordination, and cost control activities within assigned scopes.
- Participate in internal and external project meetings as required.
- Assist with site visits, inspections, factory acceptance tests (FAT), and site acceptance tests (SAT), including overseas locations where applicable.
- Prepare MV and HV equipment specifications, data sheets, and supporting documentation under supervision.
- Assist in the selection and documentation of protection schemes for MV and HV networks.
- Carry out power systems studies and prepare supporting calculations and reports, including:
- Perform engineering calculations to ensure designs comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and project specifications
. - Support senior engineers in maintaining technical quality and integrity across project deliverables.
