Position Summary:
The position is responsible for designing, executing, and interpreting laboratory-based research on cancer metabolism and molecular mechanisms of tumor progression, integrating functional genomics, metabolic profiling, and experimental biology.
Job Responsibilities:
-Designs and conducts independent laboratory experiments to investigate cancer metabolism and disease progression.
-Partners with principal investigators and multidisciplinary research teams to co-develop study designs and define experimental approaches aligned with research objectives.
-Performs and optimizes molecular and cellular techniques, including CRISPR-Cas9 gene editing and cell-based assays.
-Conducts biochemical and functional assays, including enzyme activity and metabolic pathway analyses.
-Performs and supports in vivo studies in mouse models, ensuring compliance with institutional, ethical, and regulatory standards.
Analyzes and interprets experimental data and contributes to study outcomes.
Prepares reports, figures, and scientific manuscripts; writes and publishes findings in peer-reviewed journals.
Presents research results in internal meetings and external scientific conferences.
-Provides guidance and support to others within the team and student community as required.
-Maintains accurate and organized laboratory records and documentation.
-Reviews scientific literature to inform experimental design and identify areas for improvement.
-Performs other related duties as assigned.
