A leading institutional investment platform is looking to hire a Principal / Portfolio Manager to focus on Global Macro hedge fund allocations within its Public Markets team.
This is a senior role with responsibility for external manager selection, co-investments, portfolio construction, and ongoing monitoring across a global macro portfolio
Key Responsibilities
- Develop macro views across rates, FX, commodities, and cross-asset strategies
- Lead due diligence on Global Macro hedge fund managers, including track record and risk assessment
- Conduct performance attribution, regime analysis, and stress testing
- Monitor portfolio exposures, identify risks, and recommend allocation changes
- Prepare investment recommendations and present to the Investment Committee
- Support selective co-investment opportunities alongside managers
Candidate Profile
- 12+ years of experience across hedge fund allocation, macro investing, or trading
- Strong understanding of discretionary and systematic macro strategies
- Experience in portfolio construction and manager sizing
- Advanced analytical skillset, including Python for investment analysis
- Strong communication skills and experience presenting to senior stakeholders
