The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced PMC Senior I&C Engineer ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to quality and safety standards for a high-profile client.
Job Objective
- Provide technical expertise in all Instrumentation design
- Ensure design and engineering compliance with relevant codes and ADNOC standards
- Coordinate, monitor and handle Instrumentation design and engineering with EPC Contractor as per project expectation and complete the same within the time frame
- Work with other discipline engineers within IPMT, EPC Contractor, ADNOC Engineering / Operation / Site Interface to resolve technical issues and ensure quality Discipline Engineering execution and integrity etc.
- Perform regular and timely technical reviews of Instrumentation Engineering deliverables developed by engineering consultants/contractors, ensuring design quality in compliance with relevant codes, standards, and best practices

Responsibilities
- Ensure integration of overall Instrumentation Engineering and overall coordination within IPMT Instrumentation Engineering Team
- Ensure quality and accuracy of Engineering Consultant’s & EPC Contractor’s Instrumentation Engineering design activities
- Review and approval of Engineering Consultant’s and EPC Contractor’s work, ensuring compliance with ADNOC project specifications, relevant codes and standards, and best industry practices
- Coordinate engineering participation in development and analysis of design options and business models, contributing input for design optimization and validation
- Participate in teams for equipment sizing/selection considering optimization and standardization
- Ensure facilities are designed in accordance with the latest corporate guidelines regarding environment and health aspects
- Ensure full utilization of existing facilities while optimizing new project facilities
- Participate in layout, model, design reviews, and technical workshops
- Provide technical assistance and coordination with other discipline engineers
- Coordinate technical reviews, bid evaluation, and performance evaluation
- Provide technical assistance during installation, pre‑commissioning & commissioning
- Report to ADNOC Discipline Team Leader, Engineering Manager, and support Project Managers and Engineers within the Project Management Team organization
- Interface with managers, team leaders, and engineers in Company Technical Departments, Business Units, Operations Units, and Logistics Department
- Interface regularly with Contractor’s Engineering and Project Management team and discipline engineers
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering
- Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in the refining industry, preferably in Delayed Coker Unit and Mild Hydrocracking Unit
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent technical team and interpersonal skills
- Experience and detailed knowledge of relevant international codes and standards
- Knowledge of engineering computer programs and general business software
- Ability to make independent decisions in planning, organizing, and coordinating to develop solutions to complex problems
