To be able to attend to all plumbing repairs and maintenance, the following responsibilities are expected:
Installing or maintaining heating systems
Repairing sanitation systems
Fitting bathrooms
Emergency repairs
Carry out and ensure Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)
Install underground storm, sanitary and water piping systems, including piping to connect fixtures and plumbing to these systems
Safe and professional use of appropriate hand and power tools or machines such as pipe cutters, pipe-threading machines, and pipe-bending machines
Assemble pipe sections, tubing, and fittings, using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, and plastic solvent
Repair and maintain plumbing, replacing or mending broken pipes and opening blocked drains
Education:
2 year Diploma in Air Conditioning / Electrical / Mechanical from a recognized college
Experience:
3 years of related maintenance work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Technical Skills:
Knowledge of plumbing fixtures and their components
Behavioral Skills:
– Able to work under pressure and along with groups of people to achieve maximum efficiency
– Self-motivated with skills to motivate others
– Strong verbal and written communication skills
