The Plumber is responsible for performing preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance of plumbing, drainage, water supply, and sanitary systems across assigned facilities. The role ensures the reliable operation of plumbing infrastructure while maintaining compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
Qualifications & Skills
- High School Certificate, ITI, Trade Certificate, or Diploma in Plumbing, Mechanical Trades, or a related field.
- Plumbing certification or vocational training preferred.
- Minimum 2–5 years of UAE/GCC experience in plumbing installation, maintenance, and repair, preferably within Facilities Management, MEP, Construction, or Maintenance companies.
- Strong knowledge of water distribution, drainage, sewage, and sanitary systems.
- Hands-on experience in installation, repair, and maintenance of pipes, fittings, valves, water heaters, pumps, and plumbing fixtures.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, plumbing schematics, and building layouts.
- Knowledge of Dubai Municipality regulations, plumbing codes, and safety procedures.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and water conservation practices.
- Basic English communication skills required; Arabic or Hindi/Urdu is an advantage.
- Physically fit and capable of working in confined spaces, elevated areas, and outdoor environments.
Key Responsibilities
Plumbing Maintenance & Troubleshooting
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and servicing of plumbing systems and fixtures.
- Install, maintain, and repair water supply lines, drainage systems, sanitary fixtures, and associated plumbing equipment.
- Diagnose and repair leaks, blockages, damaged pipes, valves, and plumbing fixtures.
- Inspect and test plumbing systems to ensure proper functionality and compliance with applicable standards.
- Troubleshoot plumbing issues and respond promptly to emergency breakdowns.
- Perform pipe fitting, replacement, and modification works as required.
- Carry out preventive maintenance activities to minimize system failures and downtime.
- Maintain water heaters, pumps, pressure systems, and related plumbing equipment.
Installation & Facility Support
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and plumbing layouts.
- Assist with plumbing installations, upgrades, and renovation projects.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams, contractors, electricians, and other trades during repair and installation activities.
- Support facility maintenance activities related to water distribution and wastewater systems.
- Ensure proper operation of plumbing systems across residential, commercial, and industrial facilities.
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all company safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE.
- Ensure compliance with Dubai Municipality regulations and applicable plumbing standards.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, service reports, and inspection checklists.
- Report equipment abnormalities and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and company property in good working condition.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests and support on-call duty requirements.
- Assist and provide guidance to junior technicians when required.
Working Conditions
- Full-time role based in the UAE.
- Work may be performed across multiple facilities and client locations.
- Overtime may be required based on operational requirements.
- Participation in emergency breakdown and on-call duty rotations.
- Work may involve confined spaces, rooftops, basements, and elevated work areas.
- Exposure to outdoor environments, heat, dust, noise, and physically demanding conditions.
Pay: Up to AED2,600.00 per month
