Position Overview:

The Studio Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the architectural studio, ensuring efficient workflow, project coordination, resource management and should be strong in developing concept and planning. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and an understanding of architectural project lifecycles to support the design team and maintain high-quality standards. The Studio Manager will work closely with senior leadership to streamline processes and enhance studio performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Studio Operations & Management:

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the architectural studio, ensuring smooth workflow and efficiency.
Implement and maintain best practices, processes, and procedures to optimize studio performance.
Coordinate and allocate resources, including personnel, software, and hardware, to support project needs.
Manage studio budgets, expenses, and procurement of necessary tools and materials.
Ensure adherence to office policies, health & safety regulations, and industry standards.

Project Coordination & Support:

Assist project teams in planning, scheduling, and meeting key project milestones.
Facilitate communication between different departments, including architects, designers, consultants, and clients.
Coordinate with subconsultants to ensure seamless project execution.
Manage client relationships and expectations effectively.
Monitor project progress and support project managers in resolving challenges.
Maintain project documentation, records, and reporting systems.
Brief management on the progress of projects regularly.

Team Leadership & Development:

Manage a team of 30, ensuring efficient workflow and collaboration.
Support recruitment, onboarding, and professional development of studio staff.
Foster a positive and collaborative work culture within the studio.
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior staff and interns.
Conduct regular team meetings to review project status and address any operational concerns.

Quality Control & Client Relations:

Ensure that all projects meet the company’s quality standards and client expectations.
Assist in client communication, contract administration, and proposal preparation.
Address client feedback and implement continuous improvement measures.
Support marketing and business development initiatives, including proposals and presentations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a related field.
Minimum of 15-20 years of experience in a similar role within an architectural, engineering, or design firm.
At least 10 years of experience in Dubai with a strong understanding of the local market.
Strong organizational and leadership skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Proficiency in architectural software (AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Suite) and project management tools.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for team coordination and client interactions.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong knowledge of local authorities’ regulations and approval processes.
Member of SOE (Society of Engineers).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From AED35,000.00 per month
