Gulf Pacific Lubricants is seeking a skilled PLC & SCADA Operator to join our manufacturing team at our new production facility in Hamriyah Free Zone, Sharjah.
The successful candidate will be responsible for operating, monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining PLC-controlled production systems and SCADA platforms to ensure safe, efficient, and uninterrupted plant operations. The role requires hands-on experience with industrial automation systems, electrical controls, and process monitoring.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor PLC-controlled manufacturing equipment.
- Monitor plant operations through SCADA systems.
- Troubleshoot PLC, HMI, SCADA, sensors, actuators, VFDs, and control panels.
- Diagnose and resolve automation-related faults to minimize downtime.
- Maintain production logs and operational records.
- Perform routine inspections of automation and electrical systems.
- Coordinate with maintenance and production teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Support commissioning and startup activities for new equipment.
- Assist in preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Ensure compliance with company safety procedures and industry standards.
- Report system abnormalities and recommend corrective actions.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize plant performance.
RequirementsEducation
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in:
- Electrical Engineering
- Electronics Engineering
- Automation Engineering
- Mechatronics Engineering
- Industrial Control Systems
Experience
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience in PLC and SCADA operations within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Experience in process industries, lubricants, oil & gas, chemicals, FMCG, or manufacturing facilities is preferred.

- PLC Programming & Troubleshooting:

- HMI configuration and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols:

- Experience with:

- Industrial Automation Equipment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in lubricant blending, filling, packaging, or process manufacturing plants.
- Knowledge of industrial safety systems.
- Ability to read electrical drawings and control schematics.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
