Job Title: Process Engineer
Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE
Project Duration: 3 Years (Task Order-Based)
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Process Engineer with 10+ years of expertise in technical compliance, commissioning, and testing for large-scale water and power projects. The role involves conducting independent technical reviews, verifying test results, and providing expert engineering support during the commissioning phase. The Process Engineer will play a key role in ensuring that all processes meet contractual, regulatory, and operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct and witness commissioning tests at project sites, ensuring compliance with design specifications and operational standards.
Analyze and interpret test results, identifying deviations and recommending corrective actions.
Prepare and submit detailed Test Findings Reports, including:
Summary of test reports and key observations
Description of performed tests and methodology
Data collection, analysis, and interpretation
Compliance evaluation with contract requirements
Expert recommendations for process optimization
Collaborate with EPC contractors, project stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to ensure smooth execution of commissioning activities.
Provide technical support in troubleshooting process-related issues, ensuring efficient plant performance.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards throughout commissioning and testing phases.
Support ongoing process improvements to optimize performance and efficiency in Reverse Osmosis (RO) desalination plants and power generation facilities (CCGT, OCGT, Solar PV, Wind, Battery Storage).
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Process Engineering or a related field.
Minimum 10 years of experience in process engineering, commissioning, and testing of power and water projects.
Proven experience with Reverse Osmosis (RO) desalination plants and/or power generation & storage systems.
Strong knowledge of process control, plant operations, and system optimization.
Familiarity with international standards and best practices (e.g., ASME, API, ISO, IEC).
Ability to interpret complex technical documentation, including PFDs, P&IDs, and control schematics.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Willingness to be on-site in Abu Dhabi during commissioning phases and manage required permits (CICPA if applicable).
Preferred Certifications:
Professional Engineer (PE) or Chartered Engineer (CEng) certification is a plus.
HSE and industry-specific certifications (e.g., PMP, Six Sigma, ISO Auditor) are advantageous.
