Position: Â PLANT OPERATION SUPERVISOR
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Plant Operation Supervisor to oversee daily operations and ensure the efficient and safe production of our plant. The ideal candidate will be ahands-onleader with a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, excellentproblem-solving skills, and the ability to effectively manage a team. This role is critical in maintaining production schedules, minimizing downtime, and drivingcontinuous improvementinitiatives.
Responsibilities:
Production Oversight:
Supervise and coordinate daily plant operations, including production, maintenance, andquality controlactivities.
Ensure adherence to production schedules and meet or exceed production targets.
Monitor production output, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions.
Optimize workflow and ensureefficient utilizationof resources.
TeamLeadership:
Lead, motivate, and develop a team of production personnel.
Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
Enforce company policies and safety regulations.
Foster a positive andcollaborative workenvironment.
Train new employees on procedures, equipment, andsafety protocols.
Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains.
Participate in the implementation of lean manufacturing principles andcontinuous improvementinitiatives.
Analyze data to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
Safety and Compliance:
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company standards.
Promote a safework environmentand conduct regular safety meetings.
Investigate and report on any accidents or incidents.
Maintain accurate production andsafety records.
Maintenance Liaison:
Collaborate with the maintenance department to schedule and coordinate preventative maintenance activities.
Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and facilitate timely repairs.
Ensure all equipment is maintained to a safe and operational standard.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience may be considered.
4-5 years of experiencein a manufacturing environment, preferably in a supervisory role.
Demonstrated knowledge of production processes and manufacturing principles.
Proven ability to lead and motivate a team.
Strongproblem-solvingandanalytical skills.
Excellentcommunicationand interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in using production management software a plus.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles andcontinuous improvementmethodologies is preferred.
Strong understanding of safety regulations and practices.
Ability to work in afast-paced environmentand manage multiple priorities.
