Planning Engineer – Tanks & Concrete Works Jobs in Doha at Mindstream
Join Mind Stream as a Planning Engineer driving the baseline programme and live schedule control for a tanks-focused construction package – covering concrete pours, leak testing, chemical disinfection, metal works, embedded steel, epoxy coating, and UG/AG piping to termination point.
What you’ll do:
– Develop and issue the baseline programme covering tanks concrete works, pits/sumps, embedded steel, metal works, painting/coating, and UG/AG piping to termination point
– Build pour-sequence logic reflecting formwork, reinforcement, curing periods, and embedded-steel setting-out, and protect non-compressible hold points for tank leak test and chemical disinfection on the critical path
– Produce rolling 2-4 week look-ahead schedules and measure physical progress against the baseline using S-curves for management and client reporting
– Run critical-path and float analysis to flag slippage early and propose recovery options, coordinating sequencing of tank ringdrain, UG piping, and PC installation with concrete and metal-works activities
– Prepare progress reports (earned value, milestone status, forecast completion, look-ahead highlights) and update the programme for epoxy coating and painting-works sequencing after structural completion
What you bring:
– Strong command of project planning and scheduling, baseline programme development, and progress measurement
– Hands-on experience with pour-sequence scheduling, curing-period planning, and hold-point management
– Confidence running critical-path analysis and producing S-curves and progress reports for client-facing reviews
– Working knowledge of QA/QC hold-point release for leak test and disinfection before downstream activities commence
– Ability to track material deliveries and resource loading against the programme and flag clashes early
