Primary Responsibilities:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Junior Planner to support the planning, coordination, and execution of high-quality residential fit-out projects, including villas and apartment developments. The role involves assisting the senior planning team in the development and monitoring of project schedules, resource planning, progress tracking, and coordination with internal departments and external subcontractors. The Junior Planner will contribute significantly to ensuring that project milestones are achieved on time and within scope while maintaining clear communication and thorough documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Scheduling:
Assist in preparing detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project, ensuring alignment with contractual timelines and execution strategy.
Work Breakdown Structure (WBS):
Help develop and structure comprehensive WBS for all phases of residential fit-out, including civil works, interior finishes, joinery, and MEP coordination.
Baseline and Progress Tracking:
Support the development of baseline programs, monitor actual vs. planned progress, identify variances, and assist in implementing corrective actions.
Coordination and Communication:
Collaborate daily with site engineers, procurement teams, subcontractors, and project managers to ensure alignment and timely schedule updates.
Resource & Material Planning:
Contribute to forecasting and tracking labor, materials, and equipment to prevent delays and ensure schedule adherence.
Reporting:
Generate and maintain comprehensive daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports, including dashboards, lookahead schedules, and schedule performance summaries.
Delay Analysis & EOT Support:
Assist in the documentation and analysis of delays, contributing to Extension of Time (EOT) claims where applicable.
Dashboarding & Visualizations:
Prepare visual tools such as S-curves, histograms, and dashboards to communicate schedule performance to project stakeholders.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate planning records, ensuring compliance with project-specific and corporate documentation standards.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Solid understanding of fit-out sequencing, civil/interior finishes, and basic MEP planning principles.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams under tight timelines.
Good analytical skills and proactive approach to identifying and resolving scheduling conflicts.
Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
Preferred Industry Experience:
Residential fit-out, interior works, or high-end villa/apartment projects.
Experience with design-build or fast-track project environments is advantageous.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience Level Required:
Minimum 3–4 years in a planning or project coordination role, preferably in residential fit-out or interior construction environments.
Educational Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline.
Certifications (Preferred but Not Mandatory):
PMP (Project Management Professional), PSP (Planning & Scheduling Professional), or Primavera Certification.
Minimum Experience (Years):
3 years in a relevant planning or scheduling position.
Essential: Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project
Advantageous: AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel (advanced functions), Power BI, or other dashboarding/reporting tools
