Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Plumbing Foreman to join our team and plumbing projects from start to finish. The Plumbing Foreman will be responsible for coordinating and supervising plumbing installations, repairs, and maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and project specifications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plumbing, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with team members, clients, and contractors.
Responsibilities:
Supervise Plumbing Projects: all aspects of plumbing projects, including new installations, repairs, and maintenance activities.
Project Planning: Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to develop project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and material requirements.
Team Management: Lead and motivate a team of plumbers, ensuring proper task delegation, training, and adherence to project schedules.
Quality Control: Perform regular inspections of plumbing work to ensure compliance with industry standards, project specifications, and safety regulations.
Materials and Equipment Management: Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of plumbing materials and equipment, maintaining an adequate inventory level.
Safety Compliance: Enforce and promote a culture of safety on the job site, ensuring all team members follow safety protocols and regulations.
Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve any issues or challenges that may arise during plumbing installations or repairs.
Client Communication: Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to provide project updates, address concerns, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Documentation: Prepare and maintain accurate records of project activities, including work progress, material usage, and any changes or deviations from the original plan.
Training and Development: Provide guidance and training to junior team members, promoting skill development and knowledge sharing within the team.
Requirements:
Plumbing Experience: Significant experience working as a plumber, preferably with a focus on commercial or industrial projects.
Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and manage a team, delegating tasks effectively and ensuring the successful completion of projects.
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of plumbing systems, equipment, and materials, as well as the ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent troubleshooting abilities to identify and resolve plumbing issues quickly and efficiently.
Communication Skills: Clear and concise communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with team members, clients, and contractors.
Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Safety Consciousness: In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and the ability to enforce safety protocols on the job site.
Team Player: Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and foster a positive work environment.
Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects and working in various weather conditions.
