Description
A leading construction company in Dubai is seeking an experienced Planning Engineer – Civil to join its growing team. The ideal candidate must have 3–5 years of UAE experience in Villa and High-Rise Building projects, with proven expertise in project planning, scheduling, monitoring, and progress control using Primavera P6.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, prepare, and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.
- Create baseline schedules, Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), project milestones, and resource-loaded programs.
- Monitor project progress against approved schedules and identify deviations.
- Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, S-Curves, dashboards, look-ahead schedules, and recovery plans.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Consultants, and Subcontractors to ensure timely project execution.
- Analyze project delays, critical path activities, and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare revised schedules and recovery programs to mitigate project delays.
- Monitor manpower, material, equipment, and productivity to optimize project performance.
- Assist in project forecasting, cash flow planning, and resource allocation.
- Participate in planning meetings and provide planning support throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, contractual milestones, and client requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
- 5-7 years of UAE experience as a Planning Engineer in Villa and High-Rise Building Construction.
- Primavera P6 Certification is Mandatory.
- Advanced knowledge of Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, MS Excel, and project planning methodologies.
- Strong experience in project scheduling, monitoring, forecasting, delay analysis, and progress reporting.
- Sound knowledge of construction sequencing, resource planning, and project controls.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively under tight deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with leading UAE construction contractors.
- Familiarity with UAE construction standards, FIDIC contracts, and project management practices.
- Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills.
