Job Title: Planning Engineer
Location: Doha, Qatar
Job Type: Part-Time | 6 Months
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Planning Engineer to join our team on a part-time basis for a six-month assignment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in project planning, scheduling, and progress monitoring for both building construction and infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, update, and monitor detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.
- Prepare baseline programs, recovery plans, and revised schedules.
- Perform critical path analysis and identify project risks and delays.
- Monitor project progress and prepare weekly/monthly progress reports.
- Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, consultants, and subcontractors.
- Prepare look-ahead schedules, resource histograms, and cash flow forecasts.
- Assist in Extension of Time (EOT) claims and delay analysis when required.
- Ensure project schedules comply with contract requirements and project milestones.
Requirements
- Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant planning experience in building construction projects.
- Expert proficiency in Primavera P6.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Project, Microsoft Excel, and other planning/reporting software.
- Excellent understanding of project scheduling, resource planning, and project controls.
- Experience preparing progress reports and presentations for clients and consultants.
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience working on projects in Qatar is mandatory.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic is an advantage.
