Responsibilities:
Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
Collaborate with project managers and key stakeholders to define project scope and objectives.
Create and manage project schedules using industry-standard scheduling tools.
Monitor progress, identify potential delays, and propose corrective actions.
Efficiently allocate resources, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to meet project objectives.
Work closely with project teams to ensure optimal resource utilization.
Identify and assess potential risks and uncertainties that may impact project timelines.
Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
Generate regular project progress reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Highlight key milestones, challenges, and recommended actions.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to optimize project efficiency.
Participate in project review meetings to assess progress and address concerns.
Evaluate the impact of changes to project scope and timelines.
Implement changes effectively and communicate adjustments to relevant parties.
Participate in post-project reviews to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement.
Propose enhancements to planning and scheduling processes.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 15 years of experience as a Planning Engineer in construction or engineering projects.
Proficiency in project scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Thorough understanding of project management principles.
Experience in large-scale construction projects.
Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM) concepts.
Professional certification in project management (PMP, Prince2) is a plus.
