Responsibilities
A Construction Planning Engineer is the mastermind behind project execution.
Key responsibilities include:
- Transforming blueprints and scope documents into detailed actionable schedules.
- Forecasting timelines, tracking progress, and allocating resources to ensure safe, on‑time, and on‑budget completion.
- Planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and monitoring project progress to ensure timely and successful completion.
- Assessing complex project data, identifying trends, anticipating potential issues, and proposing effective solutions to maintain project timelines.
- Collaborating effectively with diverse teams, stakeholders, and clients to ensure clear understanding and alignment on project objectives.
- Creating, managing, and updating project schedules using project management software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or other planning tools.
- Meticulously monitoring project plans, identifying discrepancies, and ensuring accuracy in scheduling, resource allocation, and reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, and the MS Office Suite (particularly Excel).
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and contract negotiation skills (knowledge of FIDIC or similar contracts is highly valued).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Experience
- Planning of pools and landscaping construction projects.
