Civil Planning Engineer

Required: Civil Planning Engineer to work in contracting company, Abu Dhabi – UAE.

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent.

We at Lazourdy are seeking a skilled and dedicated Civil Planning Engineer to join our growing team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will come from a solid civil engineering background and possess a proven track record in handling comprehensive project planning and scheduling tasks within the civil engineering and construction domain.

Key Responsibilities

  •   Schedule Development: Develop and maintain detailed project Baseline Programs, including comprehensive Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), activity sequencing, and key milestones.

  •   Software Utilization: Proficiency in utilizing Primavera P6 to create, update, and resource-load project schedules.

  •   Progress Reporting: Prepare and update detailed Weekly and Monthly progress reports, incorporating S-curves, Gantt charts, Manpower Histograms, and other essential visual tracking tools.

  •   Monitoring & Analysis: Monitor actual project progress against the baseline schedule, identify critical path activities, and proactively highlight potential delays or deviations.

  •   Team Collaboration: Lead regular progress review meetings with project management and site teams to address scheduling conflicts and optimize resource allocation.

  •   Strategy Alignment: Ensure the project schedule strictly aligns with the practical execution strategy and that all milestone targets remain achievable.

Qualifications & Experience

  •   Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.

  •   Experience: 3 to 5 years of solid experience in construction project planning and scheduling.

  •   Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 is mandatory.

  •   Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) terminology, sequences, and interdependencies. Knowledge of cost control processes is considered a distinct advantage.
