Overview
We are seeking a Detailer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for design and possess proficiency in various drafting and graphic design software.
Duties
Create detailed drawings and plans using drafting software
Collaborate with architects and engineers to produce accurate technical drawings
Utilize software such as Revit, SolidWorks, ArchiCAD, Sketchup, CAD, Rhinoceros 3D, Grasshopper, and Bluebeam to develop designs
Ensure designs meet project specifications and requirements
Review and modify designs based on feedback from the team
Requirements
Proficiency in drafting software and graphic design tools
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Familiarity with architectural or engineering design processes
Previous experience in a similar role is a plus
Job description
Responsibilities:
Create detailed structural steel models in Tekla Structures software
Generate fabrication drawings and material lists from the models
Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to ensure accuracy and completeness of designs
Use industry standards and best practices to ensure quality and efficiency of designs
Communicate with fabricators and contractors to ensure successful fabrication and construction of structures
Review and analyze project specifications and requirements to ensure compliance
Participate in design and construction meetings as needed
Continuously update and improve skills and knowledge of Tekla Structures software and industry trends
Requirements:
Proficiency in Tekla Structures software. AutoCAD,
Create detailed structural shop drawings such as Plans, Schedule, Sections and connections using Auto CAD
Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings
Experience in creating detailed shop and fabrication drawings for steel structures
Knowledge of industry standards and codes related to steel detailing
Strong communication skills to collaborate with engineers and architects
Attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve design issues
Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects
Familiarity with BIM (Building Information Modeling) and 3D modeling software is a plus
