in Dubai. The Planning Engineerwill be working on projects associated with stormwater &drainage flood alleviation irrigation network wastewater networksand water distribution networks. This will involve undertakinginvestigations planning designing tendering contract administrationand construction monitoring.  Keyaccountabilities for this position include but are not limitedto:

Technical Delivery Planning Engineer will be to oversee and coordinate theplanning and scheduling of various projects ensuring they arecompleted within budget and on time. Creatingdetailed project plans identifying potential risks or issues anddeveloping contingency plans to mitigate those risks.

Working closely with resident Engineer clients andcontractors to define project timelines and setting goalsobjectives and milestones. Monitoring thedaybyday progress of projects including updating project planstracking schedules and timelines and reporting to seniormanagement. providing regular financial reports and communicatingeffectively with all stakeholders. Supportproject activities through the application of technical engineeringplanning principles and techniques Identifying nonconformingmaterials generating reports and corrective actions andcoordinating responses.

Assist in project administration includingwriting technical reports gathering information drafting proposalsdrafting correspondence tracking project costs and completingprogress reports. Develop the Projectexecution plan considering the proper engineering techniques andmilestone sequences for the Project with support ofRE/ARE. Assist with the preparation of costestimates for project design and construction. Tracking andanalyzing field results is another key responsibility. Planningengineer continually makes comparisons between planned progress andactual progress and reports any differences to Resident Engineer.  

Collaboration

and workingas part of a team.  Liaison withteams working remotely from other parts of the world to facilitatethe completion of tasks and projects.

Excellent verbal and written English communicationskills. Other duties as requested from time totime by the Resident Engineer. Client Service Management Internal and external client liaison

Ability to build and maintain lasting and positiverelationships. Experience in utilitydiversions and management. Follow safe workpractices and adhere to company guidelines and policies forplanning and executing work in a safe manner.  Complete all work in line with Stantec Core Values and in accordance with the Stantec Quality Systems and Project Quality Procedures.

Construction planning management.

Other duties as requested from time to time by the Resident Engineer.

Qualifications:

Thesuccessful candidate will have a bachelors degree in Civil Engineerand 10 years of experience in infrastructure projects.

Certifications in Primavera Software package

Experience in DM infrastructure projects areadvantage.
