As part of our rapid expansion, we are looking for an experienced Planning Engineer to join our team in Saudi Arabia, Jeddah Projects. The Planning Engineer will be responsible for overseeing all project planning activities, including schedule development, maintenance, progress monitoring, impact assessment, and plan revisions. Additionally, they will provide strategic solutions and lead project planning meetings to ensure smooth execution.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Demonstrate a high level of skill in planning Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Project Management projects using computer-based scheduling tools.
Implement Earned Value Management (EVM) techniques and cost control strategies to track project performance.
Set up and manage Primavera P6 for program management across all stakeholders.
Develop baseline schedules and prepare Recovery and Revised Plans when required.
Establish structured reporting systems to consolidate project data, manage approvals, and ensure governance compliance.
Foster strong collaboration with Project Controls Teams, project departments, and client representatives.
Work closely with project managers and other team members to ensure project objectives are met.
Meet with client personnel and deliver project presentations.
Identify and address project risks through strategic mitigation plans.
Assess and challenge claims and Extension of Time (EOT) requests.
Ensure proper tracking and maintenance of procurement, material, and submittal logs.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Minimum 7 years in relevant positions, preferably in large-scale infrastructure and tanks projects.
Previous experience in Planning, Project Controls, and Project Management.
Strong background in contract management and handling Extension of Time (EOT) requests.
Advanced knowledge of Primavera P6, Microsoft Office, and Power BI.
Preferred certifications: PMP, PMI-RMP, and PMI-SP.
Thorough understanding of contracts and policies in Saudi Arabia.
Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
Willingness to work in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia,
