Position: Planning / Cost Engineer إماراتيين (خلاصة القيد)
AECOM are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Planning / Cost Engineer to join our team in Al Ain. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing project planning, cost estimation, and control for large-scale construction and engineering projects.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain project schedules using advanced project management software
Prepare detailed cost estimates for projects at various stages of development
Monitor project progress and update schedules to reflect actual performance
Analyze project costs and variances, providing regular reports to management
Identify and assess project risks, developing mitigation strategies as needed
Collaborate with project teams to optimize resource allocation and improve efficiency
Perform earned value analysis and forecast project performance
Assist in the preparation of bids and proposals for new projects
Conduct regular site visits to ensure alignment between plans and actual progress
Develop and maintain cost databases and historical records for future reference
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
Minimum 5 years of experience in planning and cost engineering, preferably in construction, engineering, or infrastructure projects
Proficiency in project management software such as Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and experience with cost estimation software
Working knowledge of AutoCAD or similar CAD software
Experience with risk analysis tools and techniques
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
Excellent organizational and time management abilities
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Professional certifications such as PMP or CCP are preferred
In-depth knowledge of the construction industry and project lifecycle management
Expertise in cost control, budgeting, schedule development, and risk assessment
Willingness to travel to project sites as required
Familiarity with local construction practices and regulations in the UAE is a plus
