Position: WELDING ENGINEER
Responsibilities:
Prepare, review and approve the Welding Procedure Specification (WPS), Procedure Qualification Record (PQR) and Welder Qualification Tests (WQT)
Knowledge in welding processes, various materials of construction like CS, LAS, ASS & DSS & Inconel, and their welding and Nondestructive examination.
Experience in inspection of pressure vessels, pumps, pipes and fittings, forgings, castings, valves, structural works, etc.
Knowledge in preparation and review of Project Quality Plan, Job Execution Procedures, and Inspection Test Plans (ITP).
Functionally supervise subcontractor’s QA/QC inspector team for Welding & testing and to ensure compliance with requirements of the contract and applicable codes.
· Planning new welding procedure qualification, welder qualification as per project spec. and standard ASME BPVC SEC IX, AWS D1.1, API 1104, and ISO 15614/9606.
Exposure to AWS D1.1 (Structural Steels), ASME BPVC SEC VIII-DIV 1 &2 (Construction of Pressure Vessels) – ASME V (NDT), ASME B31.1 (Power Piping), ASME B31.3 (Process Piping), ASME B31.4/31.8, NACE MR0103, 0175, Russian GOST and EN Codes.
Working experience on P1, P4 (1¼Cr-½Mo, P12), P5A (P22), P5B (5Cr-½Mo, P91), P8 (Austenitic Stainless Steel –SS304 L, SS316L, SS347), P10H (Duplex/Super Duplex Stainless Steel), Clad Plates inclusive of material weld ability, NDT requirements and PWHT
· Assessment or preparation for the certification audit to attain ISO EN 3834
We are looking for:
· Bachelor degree in Metallurgy Engineering.
· Candidates should be based in UAE (mandatory)
· At least 10 years of experience and 5 years as same Engineer Welding in UAE (mandatory)
· Preferred IWS certified
