Pipe Fitter is responsible for installing, assembling, fabricating, maintaining, and repairing piping systems that carry water, gas, steam, chemicals, or other substances. The role involves working with blueprints, ensuring proper alignment, and maintaining safety and quality standards in industrial, commercial, or construction environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and assemble pipes, tubes, fittings, and related equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes using hand and power tools.
- Inspect and test piping systems for leaks, pressure, and functionality.
- Repair and maintain existing piping systems.
- Ensure proper alignment and support of piping systems.
- Follow safety standards and procedures at all times.
- Collaborate with engineers, welders, and construction teams.
- Select appropriate materials based on project requirements.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting.
