Job Description
The Obstetrics and Gynecologist (OB / GYN) Physician provides comprehensive primary and urgent care as part of the Obstetrics and Gynecology department. The OB / GYN specializes in women’s reproductive healthcare issues and prenatal care, covering care from puberty to preconception, childbirth, delivery, postpartum, and menopause. Responsibilities include performing screening examinations, diagnostic tests, treatments, and providing reproductive advice and education. The OB / GYN identifies and treats hormonal disorders, fertility issues, reproductive system cancers, urogynecology problems, and sexually transmitted diseases.
Key Responsibilities :
Perform wellness exams and diagnostic tests such as pap smears, pelvic exams, and breast exams.
Assess patient health, diagnose conditions, and prescribe appropriate treatments for women’s health issues.
Order, perform, interpret tests, and analyze records and reports.
Provide prenatal, antepartum, labor and delivery, and postnatal care.
Educate patients about vaccinations, sexual health, hygiene, and reproductive choices.
Explain childbirth processes to expectant parents and families.
Counsel on menstrual management and menopausal symptoms, including ordering diagnostic tests.
Perform follow-up care and provide childbirth and postpartum services.
Offer care for sexual trauma, including tests, counseling, and reporting as per legal requirements.
Maintain accurate patient health records and histories.
Refer patients to specialists when necessary and coordinate healthcare plans with other providers.
Ensure meticulous maintenance of medical records and provide clinical reports.
Support staff development through clinical mentoring and adhere to clinical guidelines and SOPs.
Participate in external agency liaising, mass casualty exercises, and electronic health record documentation.
Rotate across clinics as required.

Qualifications
Required Skills and Knowledge :
Minimum three (3) years’ post-board certification experience.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a matrix environment.
Remote site experience preferred.
Education Required :
Graduated from an approved medical school with completed residency or fellowship (M.D. or D.O.).
Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology or equivalent.
Current, unrestricted healthcare license in the US or equivalent country.
American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications required; ALSO and NRP preferred.
DEA number or equivalent preferred.
Key Skills :
Experience in emergency or urgent care settings for female patients.
Ability to diagnose and manage obstetrics and gynecology conditions accurately and swiftly.
Provide empathetic, personalized care with accurate charting and excellent communication skills.
Proficient in electronic medical records systems.

Perform emergency deliveries in an ED setting.
Work independently in a fast-paced environment, maintaining composure under stress.
Meet deadlines, multitask, and prioritize effectively.
Exhibit cultural sensitivity and strong communication skills.
Other Special Qualifications :
Proficiency in English communication.
Unaccompanied position; ability to relocate to Qatar.
Ability to obtain security clearance and possess a valid passport.
