Overview
We are seeking an experienced PHP Developer with strong Magento (1.x/2.x) expertise to join our eCommerce development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building, optimizing, and maintaining high‑performance online stores, integrating third‑party systems, and ensuring seamless user experiences across the platform.
Key Responsibilities1. Magento Development
- Develop, customize, and maintain Magento‑based eCommerce websites (Magento 2 preferred).
- Build custom modules, extensions, and themes based on business requirements.
- Optimize Magento performance, caching, indexing, and database queries.
- Implement secure payment gateways, shipping modules, and API integrations.
2. PHP & Backend Engineering
- Write clean, scalable, and reusable PHP code following best practices (OOP, MVC).
- Work with MySQL databases, optimize queries, and manage data structures.
- Integrate REST/SOAP APIs and third‑party services (CRM, ERP, payment systems).
- Troubleshoot backend issues and perform debugging, testing, and code reviews.
3. Frontend Collaboration
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers to implement responsive and user‑friendly interfaces.
- Work with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, and Knockout.js (Magento 2).
- Ensure cross‑browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness.
4. eCommerce Operations
- Support product catalog management, checkout flow, and order processing logic.
- Implement SEO‑friendly structures and performance enhancements.
- Monitor site uptime, security patches, and version upgrades.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in PHP development.
- 2+ years of hands‑on experience with Magento (Magento 2 preferred).
- Strong knowledge of OOP, MVC frameworks, and design patterns.
- Experience with MySQL, Git, Composer, and Linux environments.
- Familiarity with caching technologies (Redis, Varnish, Memcached).
- Strong understanding of eCommerce workflows and best practices.
- Ability to work in an agile environment and manage multiple tasks.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Laravel or Symfony.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, DigitalOcean).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
- Understanding of headless commerce or PWA (Vue.js/React).
- Magento certification (nice to have).
