Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Pharmacy Purchaser to manage the procurement of pharmaceutical products, medical consumables, and healthcare‑related supplies. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of the UAE pharmaceutical market, supplier management, inventory planning, and regulatory requirements to ensure timely and cost‑effective purchasing.
Key Responsibilities
- Procure pharmaceuticals, medical consumables, surgical items, and healthcare products from approved suppliers.
- Source new vendors and negotiate pricing, payment terms, and supply agreements.
- Ensure continuous product availability while maintaining optimal inventory levels.
- Monitor stock movements and coordinate with pharmacies to prevent stock shortages and overstocking.
- Prepare purchase orders and track deliveries to ensure timely receipt of goods.
- Verify supplier invoices, delivery notes, and purchase documentation.
- Coordinate with warehouse and pharmacy teams regarding product receipts and discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with UAE healthcare regulations, company policies, and quality standards.
- Monitor product expiry dates and coordinate timely replenishment.
- Maintain accurate purchasing records and prepare procurement reports.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with pharmaceutical distributors and manufacturers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Pharmacy, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of pharmacy purchasing experience in the UAE.
- Experience working with hospitals, clinics, pharmacy chains, or healthcare groups.
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical products, medical consumables, and UAE suppliers.
- Familiarity with inventory management and ERP pharmacy management systems.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and procurement documentation.
- Knowledge of UAE healthcare regulations and purchasing practices is preferred.
- Strong vendor negotiation and relationship management.
- Excellent planning and inventory forecasting abilities.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Team‑oriented with strong coordination skills.
