Key Responsibilities
- Property Inspections: Perform thorough inspections of homes and businesses to detect signs of pests (rodents, termites, cockroaches, etc.).
- Identify & Assess: Identify the pest species and determine the extent of the infestation.
- Treatment Application: Apply appropriate pesticides or set traps to eliminate pests, strictly following safety protocols and manufacturer guidelines.
- Prevention & Advice: Advise clients on structural modifications or sanitation practices to reduce future risks.
- Reporting & Safety: Maintain detailed records of chemicals used and work performed, complying with environmental and health regulations (e.g., COSHH/EPA).
- Customer Service: Address customer concerns and provide education on pest management.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent is usually required.
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of pest behavior, chemical safety, and IPM (Integrated Pest Management) techniques.
