The PDI Technician is responsible for conducting pre-delivery inspections on new vehicles to ensure they meet the company’s quality standards before delivery to customers. The role involves inspecting, testing, preparing, and rectifying minor defects to ensure vehicles are delivered in excellent condition.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) on new vehicles as per manufacturer guidelines and company standards.
- Inspect vehicle mechanical, electrical, and cosmetic conditions before delivery.
- Conduct functional checks of all vehicle systems, including lights, air conditioning, infotainment, and safety features.
- Install accessories and perform vehicle preparation activities as required.
- Identify and rectify minor defects and report major issues to the Workshop Supervisor.
- Carry out road tests when necessary to verify vehicle performance.
- Ensure all documentation and PDI checklists are completed accurately.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Diploma or Technical Certification in Automotive Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience as an Automotive Technician or PDI Technician.
- Good knowledge of vehicle mechanical and electrical systems.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment and comply with company health and safety procedures.
- Coordinate with the sales and service departments to ensure timely vehicle delivery.
- Ensure vehicles are cleaned and prepared according to delivery standards.
- Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Basic computer skills and ability to complete inspection reports.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet delivery deadlines.
Pay: QAR2,300.00 – QAR2,500.00 per month
