Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to manage end-to-end payroll operations for a large workforce within the construction industry. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience handling payroll for 3,000+ employees, including labor and staff categories, ensuring accurate salary processing, overtime calculations, leave management, and compliance with UAE labor regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and process monthly payroll for 3,000+ employees accurately and within deadlines.
  • Handle payroll calculations including basic salary, allowances, overtime, deductions, leave salary, end-of-service benefits, and final settlements.
  • Maintain and update employee payroll records, attendance, and timesheets.
  • Calculate annual leave, leave encashment, unpaid leave, sick leave, and other leave-related entitlements.
  • Verify overtime records and ensure compliance with company policies and UAE Labour Law.
  • Coordinate with HR and project teams to ensure accurate employee data and payroll inputs.
  • Prepare payroll reports, salary reconciliation statements, and management reports.
  • Process employee advances, loans, deductions, and reimbursements.
  • Ensure compliance with WPS (Wage Protection System) requirements and statutory regulations.
  • Handle payroll-related queries and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Assist with audits and provide payroll documentation as required.
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee payroll and compensation information.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of UAE payroll experience, preferably within the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of UAE Labour Law, leave entitlements, overtime calculations, gratuity, and final settlements.
  • Experience with payroll software, ERP systems, and MS Excel (advanced level preferred).
  • Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
