Company Introduction:
We are a leading EPC contracting company in Saudi Arabia, specializing in the execution of large-scale infrastructure projects including power generation, substations, overhead transmission lines (OHTL), water treatment plants, and industrial facilities. To support our growing workforce, we are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Payroll Officer to manage end-to-end payroll operations and ensure compliance with Saudi labor laws and wage protection regulations.
Position Overview:
The Payroll Officer will be responsible for accurately preparing, processing, and reconciling employee payroll, ensuring timely salary payments, compliance with internal policies and government regulations, and maintaining payroll records. This role requires close collaboration with HR, finance, and government relations teams to manage all aspects of employee compensation.
Key Responsibilities:
Payroll Processing:
Collect, validate, and process monthly payroll inputs, including attendance, overtime, leaves, deductions, and allowances.
Ensure timely and accurate salary disbursement through WPS (Wage Protection System).
Prepare and review payroll reports, salary slips, and bank payment files.
Compliance & Government Coordination:
Ensure payroll processes comply with Saudi labor law, GOSI, and WPS requirements.
Coordinate with the Government Relations Officer for GOSI registrations and salary updates.
Prepare and submit reports to GOSI and other relevant government portals when required.
Recordkeeping & Documentation:
Maintain confidential employee payroll files, salary changes, and payroll adjustment records.
Generate accurate reports for end-of-service benefits (EOSB), vacation settlements, and final clearances.
Respond to internal and external audit queries related to payroll.
Coordination & Support:
Work closely with HR to update and track employee status, promotions, terminations, and transfers.
Coordinate with Finance for payroll accounting, reconciliation, and bank transfers.
Handle employee inquiries regarding salary, deductions, and payslip clarifications.
Payroll System & Process Improvement:
Ensure payroll system (manual or ERP) is updated and reflects current employee data.
Support the digital transformation of payroll processes and identify efficiency improvements.
Assist in system testing, payroll module upgrades, and implementation of best practices.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or Business Administration.
Experience:
Minimum 3–5 years of payroll experience, preferably in EPC, construction, or industrial sectors.
Solid knowledge of Saudi labor law, WPS, and GOSI is essential.
Key Skills:
Strong proficiency in MS Excel and payroll software (Oracle, SAP, or other ERP systems).
High attention to detail, confidentiality, and data accuracy.
Good communication skills and ability to handle sensitive employee information.
Fluency in Arabic and English is preferred.
Preferred Certifications:
Certification in Payroll Management, HRMS systems, or Saudi Labor Law compliance is a plus.
