Position: PATIENT ACCEPTANCE REPRESENTATIVE I
Summary
Receives patients or their representatives seeking access to services of Hospital’s. Informs them about Hospital policies and procedures and acts as a liaison officer between patients and Patient Acceptance staff.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties
Receives and interviews patients or their representatives seeking access to the services of Hospital’s.
Verifies if patients concerned possess the required documents (Royal Orders, Medical Reports and other relevant medical information, i.e., x-rays, pathological slides).
Verifies patient’s eligibility and ensures the patient information sheet is completely filled up.
Registers, scans all related documents pertaining to the referral in the electronic referral system, and gives instructions to call to inquire about the outcome of the referral.
Attends to any inquiries of the public pertaining to the Patient Acceptance Services.
Coordinates with other hospital staff regarding patient referrals.
Participates in Self and Hospital quality improvement plans preferred.
Follows all Hospital’s related Policies and Procedures.
Participates in self and others’ education, training and development, as applicable.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree or Associate Degree/Diploma in Hospital Administration, or other related discipline is required.
Experience Required
One (1) year of related experience with Bachelor’s Degree, or three (3) years with Associate Degree/Diploma is required.
