Pastry Line Team Leader Jobs in Doha, Qatar at Qatar Airways
As a Pastry Line Team Leader within Bakery & Pastry, you will be responsible for supervising production lines and belts as assigned, including portioning lines, packing lines, pastry lines, etc. You will ensure the safe and smooth operation of equipment and machinery at all times, as well as on-time completion of tasks with the expected production output and subsequent handover to the next production steps and/or Assembly.
You should be fluent and knowledgeable in basic maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment and machinery, assisting with preventive maintenance activities and complex problem solving by QACC Maintenance and/or contractors.
Accountabilities
Ensure the production line produces the expected output as directed by the department head.
Ensure proper handover between shifts and escalate issues if required.
Ensure sufficient team members are available before starting the shift.
Gain experience and knowledge in all assigned equipment and machinery, including manufacturer guidelines, SOPs, and basic maintenance and troubleshooting skills.
Perform quick serviceability checks on equipment upon reporting for duty and before shift end.
Record and report all mechanical irregularities affecting operation.
Pre-set lines and belts at optimal speed/intervals according to product specifications.
Ensure smooth operation of equipment throughout the shift.
Guide and train other staff in proper operation of equipment.
Analyze and adjust equipment settings to optimize efficiency without compromising safety and quality.
Coordinate with senior staff in case of emergencies.
Ensure daily KPIs are met and report deviations.
