Job Description
Prepare and measure ingredients, follow recipes, and maintain a clean and organized work area.
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and satisfactory order completion.
Create pastries, baked goods, and design dessert menus.
Decorate and plate desserts according to standards.
Design and decorate pastries using icing, glazes, and toppings to enhance presentation.
Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, ensuring quality and safety standards are met.
Manage inventory and coordinate with the Sous Chef or Executive Chef for supplies.
Standardize and communicate pastry and bakery recipes to ensure consistent quality.
Monitor food quality during preparation and throughout the day using HACCP forms and production charts.
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of relevant hospitality industry experience.
Additional certifications from reputable culinary schools are advantageous.
Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and presentation skills.
Creativity and attention to detail in dessert design and plating.
Effective time management in a fast-paced environment.
Strong leadership and teamwork skills.
Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
