About Us
Logix Engine delivers robotics, coding and academic enrichment programmes to over 300 students a week, aged 6 to 18. We run our own centres in Business Bay and JLT, and we deliver in-school programmes at partner institutions across Dubai. We are the UAE Affiliate for Destination Imagination and run competition teams in FLL and DI.
The Role
You will deliver our curriculum on site at partner schools, teaching small groups in after-school clubs, in-curriculum sessions and holiday camps. Sessions are prepared for you: lesson plans, kits and materials are provided. Your job is to run the room well, keep students engaged, and report back on progress.
What You’ll Do
- Deliver Stem, robotics and coding sessions using LEGO SPIKE Prime, LEGO WeDo, Arduino, Scratch and Python, as well as projects for young kids.
- Adapt pacing and support to mixed ability groups, primary through secondary
- Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a safe, positive learning environment
- Set up and pack down kits, and keep equipment accounted for
- Record attendance and student progress through our online platform
- Represent Logix Engine professionally with school staff and parents
- Support competition teams (FLL, Destination Imagination) where relevant
What We’re Looking For
- Experience teaching, coaching or tutoring children, ideally in a STEM setting
- Working knowledge of at least two of: LEGO robotics platforms, Arduino, Scratch, Python
- Strong classroom presence and clear spoken English
- Reliability. Partner school sessions run to a fixed timetable and cannot be missed
- Able to travel between school sites in Dubai. Own transport is a strong advantage
- Valid UAE residency with permission to work part-time, or sponsorship allowing freelance work
- Background check clearance as required by our partner schools
Nice to Have
- Degree in engineering, computer science, education or a related field
- Experience with FLL, WRO, Destination Imagination or similar competitions
- Prior experience working inside a school environment in the UAE
Schedule
Sessions typically run weekdays, 2:00 to 5:00 pm during school terms.
