Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Painter to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for surface preparation, application of paint and coatings, and finishing work for residential projects, including villas and G+1 buildings. The role requires attention to detail, knowledge of painting techniques, and adherence to safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, filling cracks, and applying primers.
- Apply paint, varnish, enamel, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
- Ensure smooth and even coating on walls, ceilings, doors, and other structural surfaces.
- Mix and match paints to achieve required colors and finishes.
- Carry out touch-ups and repainting as required during and after project completion.
- Protect surrounding areas with drop cloths, masking tape, and other materials.
- Follow project specifications, drawings, and supervisor instructions.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in good condition.
- Comply with safety regulations and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Coordinate with site supervisors and other trades to ensure timely completion of work.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Painter in construction projects (preferably villas and low-rise buildings).
- Knowledge of painting materials, techniques, and surface preparation methods.
- Ability to work with different types of paints and finishes (e.g., emulsion, enamel, textured coatings).
- Basic understanding of construction drawings is an advantage.
- Physically fit and able to work at heights and in various site conditions.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications
- High school or equivalent preferred.
- Relevant vocational training or certification is an advantage.
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in a similar role in the UAE or GCC.
Working Conditions
- Work is primarily on construction sites (indoor and outdoor).
- May require working in hot weather conditions and extended hours depending on project timelines.
