Job Summary:
The Painter is responsible for preparing surfaces, mixing paints, and applying paint, varnish, or other finishes to buildings, walls, ceilings, furniture, and other structures. This role requires attention to detail, steady hands, and the ability to deliver high-quality finishes that meet project standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, and patching holes or cracks.
- Apply primer, paint, varnish, enamel, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
- Mix and match paints to obtain desired color and finish.
- Protect surrounding areas with masking tape, drop cloths, or coverings to prevent damage.
- Inspect painted surfaces for uniformity, coverage, and quality of finish.
- Perform touch-ups and repairs as needed.
