Position Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Event Sales and Business Development Executive to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving revenue growth through strategic sales initiatives, cultivating relationships with clients, and managing event-related sales processes. The individual will work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless event execution, while identifying new business opportunities to expand the company’s portfolio.
This role involves assisting in the execution of strategies aimed at enhancing market presence and increasing revenue. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, a proactive approach, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development:
To Identify and prospect potential clients, partners, and sponsors for events and business opportunities.
Develop and maintain a strong sales pipeline by researching market trends and client needs.
Negotiate contracts and close business deals in alignment with company targets and objectives.
Promote and sell event services, including sponsorships, vendor partnerships, and ticket sales.
Maintain and update CRM system with accurate client information and sales activity.
Event Planning & Management:
Work with the event team to understand client requirements and customize event offerings accordingly.
Ensure the successful execution of events by coordinating with suppliers, vendors, and stakeholders.
Monitor event performance and work on improving services for future events.
Relationship Management:
Build and nurture relationships with existing and prospective clients.
Provide exceptional customer service throughout the sales process, ensuring client satisfaction.
Act as a liaison between clients and internal teams to ensure all client needs are met before, during, and after events.
Market Research & Strategy:
Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and client feedback to identify growth opportunities.
Collaborate with the marketing team to develop targeted campaigns that generate leads and brand awareness.
Help shape the company’s sales strategy by contributing insights and data-driven recommendations.
Reporting & Analysis:
Provide regular reports on sales targets, opportunities, and conversion rates.
Analyze sales data and identify areas of improvement to optimize sales strategies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
Proven experience (3+ years) in event sales, business development, or a similar role in the events or hospitality industry.
Strong knowledge of event management processes and sales strategies.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Proficiency in using CRM software (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar).
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
Strong interpersonal skills and a team-oriented approach.
Highly organized with attention to detail.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with large-scale events, trade shows, conferences, or corporate meetings.
Familiarity with event marketing strategies and platforms.
Network of industry contacts (sponsors, venues, partners).
