Key Responsibilities
Perform surgical procedures including but not limited to tooth extractions, dental implants, and corrective jaw surgery
Conduct comprehensive assessments to diagnose oral health conditions requiring surgical interventions
Manage pre-operative and post-operative care, ensuring patients are well-informed and comfortable throughout the process
Work collaboratively with a
diverse team
of dental professionals to develop and implement treatment plans
Document patient records accurately, adhering to legal and ethical standards
Educate patients and their families about surgical procedures and oral health practices
Engage in continuous
professional development
to stay updated on advancements in oral surgery
Requirements
Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) from an accredited dental school
Completion of a residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Board certification in Oral Surgery is preferred
Minimum of 5 years of experience in oral surgical procedures
Strong clinical skills and a
patient-centered
approach to care Excellent
communication
and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients and colleagues
Ability to manage multiple cases and work well under pressure
Valid dental license and compliance with necessary state regulations
