Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Oracle WebCenter System Administrator to manage, support, and optimize enterprise Oracle WebCenter environments within a banking environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for system administration, deployment management, performance tuning, troubleshooting, security hardening, disaster recovery readiness, and ensuring high availability of mission-critical banking applications.
The successful candidate must possess strong expertise in Oracle WebCenter, Red Hat Linux, Apache Web Server, middleware administration, and production support, with proven experience in the banking or financial services sector.
Key Responsibilities Oracle WebCenter Administration
- Administer, configure, maintain, and support Oracle WebCenter environments.
- Monitor application health, system performance, and availability across production and non-production environments.
- Perform installation, configuration, upgrades, migrations, and patch management of Oracle WebCenter components.
- Manage deployments, configuration changes, and release activities in accordance with change management procedures.
System Monitoring & Support
- Monitor servers, applications, middleware services, and system logs to ensure uninterrupted operations.
- Diagnose and resolve application, middleware, and infrastructure issues within defined SLAs.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures for recurring incidents.
- Provide Level 2 and Level 3 technical support for critical business applications.
Linux & Middleware Administration
- Administer and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) servers.
- Manage Apache Web Server configurations and performance optimization.
- Develop and maintain shell scripts for automation, monitoring, and operational tasks.
- Perform system hardening, security compliance checks, and vulnerability remediation activities.
Performance & Availability Management
- Ensure maximum uptime, system reliability, and optimal application performance.
- Conduct capacity planning and performance tuning activities.
- Implement proactive monitoring and preventive maintenance procedures.
- Support high-availability architectures and failover mechanisms.
Security & Compliance
- Apply security patches, updates, and hardening standards for operating systems and applications.
- Ensure compliance with banking security policies, audit requirements, and regulatory standards.
- Address audit findings and implement corrective actions within agreed timelines.
- Participate in security reviews and risk assessments.
Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity
- Maintain and support Disaster Recovery (DR) environments.
- Ensure replication mechanisms are functioning correctly and regularly tested.
- Participate in DR drills, failover testing, and business continuity exercises.
- Maintain DR documentation and recovery procedures.
OpenShift & Container Platform Support
- Support applications deployed on OpenShift environments.
- Coordinate with application and infrastructure teams to manage deployments and operational issues.
- Monitor containerized applications and ensure platform stability.
Documentation & Governance
- Maintain operational procedures, technical documentation, system architecture diagrams, and support guides.
- Follow ITIL-based service management processes for incidents, problems, changes, and releases.
- Ensure compliance with organizational governance, security standards, and operational policies.
Mandatory Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 6–8 years of hands-on experience in Oracle WebCenter Administration and Middleware Support.
- Mandatory experience in the Banking or Financial Services industry.
- Strong expertise in Oracle WebCenter administration and support.
- Extensive experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
- Strong knowledge of Apache Web Server administration.
- Experience in shell scripting and automation.
- Proven experience in system patching, hardening, and security compliance.
- Experience managing Disaster Recovery (DR) environments and business continuity solutions.
- Knowledge of applications running on OpenShift platforms.
- Experience in performance tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting enterprise applications.
- Strong understanding of SLA management, incident management, and operational support processes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Oracle Middleware Administration certifications.
- Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) or RHCE certification.
- ITIL Foundation Certification.
- Experience with containerized and cloud-native environments.
- Knowledge of banking security standards and regulatory compliance frameworks.
