Job Title: Oracle Fusion Financial Functional Consultant

Introduction:

A major organization with a workforce exceeding 10,000 employees is seeking a highly skilled Oracle Fusion Financial Functional Consultant. The ideal candidate will help drive financial transformation by implementing and supporting Oracle Financials Cloud, ensuring the system meets business needs and aligns with financial best practices.

Position Overview:

The Oracle Fusion Financial Functional Consultant will be responsible for the functional analysis, configuration, and support of Oracle Financial Cloud modules. This role involves working closely with finance, procurement, and IT teams to deliver robust and scalable solutions that enhance financial operations, reporting, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Functional Analysis & Design:

Gather and analyze business requirements across finance functions including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and cash management.

Translate business needs into system configurations, functional designs, and solution documents.

Work with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration between finance and other modules.

Configuration & Implementation:

Configure Oracle Financials modules (GL, AP, AR, FA, CM, Tax, and potentially PPM or Procurement).

Support new implementations, rollouts, and enhancements in alignment with financial and operational goals.

Participate in data migration, chart of accounts design, and account mapping.

Testing & Documentation:

Prepare and execute test cases for unit testing, system integration testing (SIT), and user acceptance testing (UAT).

Document configurations, test results, user manuals, and training materials.

Ensure system reliability and business continuity during patching and upgrades.

Business Process Optimization:

Analyze current financial processes and identify opportunities for automation, standardization, and efficiency improvements using Oracle best practices.

Assist in developing new financial workflows, approvals, and control mechanisms.

Provide recommendations for leveraging existing system functionalities more effectively.

User Support & Training:

Act as a subject matter expert for Oracle Fusion Financials and provide user support for system-related queries and issues.

Conduct training sessions and create knowledge-sharing resources for finance teams.

Work closely with finance leadership to prioritize system changes and improvements.

Compliance & Reporting:

Ensure compliance with internal financial controls, corporate policies, and regulatory requirements (e.g., VAT, ZATCA).

Support the development of reports and dashboards using OTBI and BI Publisher.

Assist in audits by providing system data, workflows, and compliance documentation.

Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.

Experience:

3–5+ years of hands-on functional experience with Oracle Fusion Financials.

Strong knowledge of Oracle modules such as GL, AP, AR, FA, CM, and Tax.

Experience in large enterprise environments (10,000+ employees) is highly preferred.

Key Skills:

Deep understanding of financial accounting principles and ERP best practices.

Expertise in Oracle Financial Cloud configurations, workflows, and reporting tools.

Strong analytical thinking, communication, and documentation skills.

Ability to work across departments and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Certifications:

Oracle Financials Cloud Certification (e.g., GL, AP, AR) is highly preferred.

Additional certifications in project management or financial controls are a plus.
