Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and reliable Plastic Injection Machine Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating high-speed plastic injection molding machines, utilizing robots for automation, and ensuring proper mold-machine settings to produce high-quality plastic parts. This position requires expertise in machine setup, adjustment, and troubleshooting to ensure smooth production runs and high product quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Machine Operation: Operate high-speed plastic injection molding machines and related automation systems, including robots, to produce plastic components according to specifications.
Setup & Calibration: Set up and adjust injection molding machines, robots, and molds, ensuring correct parameters (e.g., temperature, pressure, injection speed) are set for each production run.
Mold-Machine Settings: Ensure proper mold installation, adjustment, and alignment for optimal production. Monitor machine cycles and adjust settings as needed.
Automation & Robotics: Operate and monitor robotic systems used for part handling, insert placement, and unloading. Troubleshoot automation issues to minimize downtime.
Quality Control: Regularly inspect molded parts to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards. Conduct visual and dimensional checks, as well as other quality control tests.
Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform routine maintenance on machines, molds, and robots to prevent breakdowns. Quickly troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during production.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe and efficient work environment. Use required PPE and follow safety standards for machine operation.
Record-Keeping: Document production data, including machine settings, quality control results, and any machine adjustments or downtime.
Collaboration: Work with the production team, maintenance staff, and supervisors to meet production targets and resolve any production-related issues.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
Experience:
Prior experience operating high-speed plastic injection molding machines, robots, and setting molds is highly preferred.
Familiarity with high-speed machine operations, mold-machine settings, and robotic automation in injection molding is a plus.
Skills:
Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot injection molding machines and robotics.
Experience in setting up molds and adjusting machine parameters to ensure optimal performance.
Ability to operate and maintain robotic systems integrated with injection molding machines.
Knowledge of injection molding processes and quality control standards.
Proficient in reading technical drawings and specifications.
Strong attention to detail and focus on producing high-quality products.
Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to , and perform repetitive tasks. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
