Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose and treat various eye disorders such as glaucoma, cataracts, and refractive errors
Perform comprehensive eye exams and interpret diagnostic tests
Prescribe and administer medications as needed
Recommend and perform surgical procedures when necessary
Collaborate with other medical professionals in developing treatment plans
Educate patients on proper eye care and preventive measures
Keep accurate and
up-to-date
medical records
Continuously stay updated on the latest medical advancements and techniques in the field of ophthalmology
Qualifications:
Medical degree from an accredited institution
Residency training in ophthalmology
Current state medical license and board certification in ophthalmology
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a practicing ophthalmologist
Extensive knowledge of eye anatomy, diseases, and treatment options
Strong
communication
and interpersonal skills
Ability to work well in a
team environment
and collaborate with other medical professionals
